Peopled by puppets, "Avenue Q" is a sexier, grittier version of traditional puppet stories, and its themes of loneliness, purpose, friendship and place inject the characters with refreshing, real-life qualities. Funny, colorful and eminently entertaining, it's a must-see, no matter where you are. Just hold back from bringing younger kids along.
