THE STRIP. Cleopatra's Barge is quite a popular nightspot and if you're looking for great fun, you'll definitely find it here! This Egyptian-themed dance club has long been a favorite of Las Vegas's older crowd, which has spent the last 30 or so years parading around with their favorite cocktails while bebopping to classic rock, R&B, and dance hits. In recent years, the lounge experienced a total facelift, reinventing itself as a haven for the younger tourist crowd and featuring weekend dance parties led by the R&B styling of Anita Sarawak and the Rhythm Nation.

THE STRIP. One of Vegas's top comedy clubs, the Comedy Stop keeps patrons rolling with a terrific ensemble of professional comedians, most of them appearing on the major US circuits. Banquet-style tables surround the stage area, and, as always, the front-row seats get the comedians' utmost attention. Two shows every night.

THE STRIP. Occupying a swank location in the basement of the Barbary Coast, this trendy bar and Art Deco lounge boasts hip, library-like furnishings: bookshelves, cozy sofas, leopard chairs, and tropical plants. Concoctions like the lychee martini are sure to please, but prepare yourself: these drinks don't come cheap. A cozy, candle-lit dining area off the lounge offers Mediterranean-style fare, and entrées range from seven-hour leg of lamb to crab cakes. Each night, a small jazz ensemble entertains audiences with light, soulful grooves.

THE STRIP. This elegant space accommodates 1,300 people, and its large stage typically hosts rock and metal bands, although at times, major DJ talents take over. The central floor is lined with recessed, semicircular booths, perfect for four or five friends. Large, cozy couches and a warm color scheme encourage audiophiles to mingle between sets. If more privacy is desired, head to the upper balcony or to the patio for views of the Strip. The prominently-hung signature chandelier occasionally descends in a blaze of color and light.

THE STRIP. Legendary crooner Tom Jones only performs at the Hollywood Theatre when in Vegas. If this fact alone isn't enough to draw you in, consider the place's 740-seat size, which is much more up-close-and-personal than most of the venues at Sin City's major hotels. Even more happily, each seat has a great view of the stage. Besides the Welsh heartthrob, other musical acts appear, as well as stand-up comics and magicians (including David Copperfield).
