Fountains of Bellagio
(Sights & Activities - Free Attractions)
3600 Las Vegas Blvd SLas Vegas NV 89109-4339 702-693-8771
Description:
THE STRIP. Stand on the promenade overlooking beautiful Lake Bellagio and the stunning hotel and casino of the same name behind it. The music starts and the fountains rise from still waters. The water dance is magical, whether it be a soft shoe or a rambunctious high-spirited number. The compelling routines vary widely and are worth seeing over and over. The water is propelled several stories in the air in time to the music in gracefully choreographed configurations. This is an experience that will leave you with a smile on your face and a song in your head.
Fremont Street Experience
(Sights & Activities - Free Attractions)
425 Fremont StLas Vegas NV 89101
Description:
DOWNTOWN. Occupying the portion of downtown Vegas where the city began, this pedestrian mall is more than just shopping or a simple nod to the past. The attraction in the heart of Old Vegas presents a goodly array of retail venues, restaurants, casinos, and performance stages, all of which provide welcome distraction throughout the day and night. The real draw, however, is an LED screen canopy stretched overhead the length of five football fields, 90 feet above visitors. Once twilight falls, shows and videos are broadcast larger-than-life on the screen, granting folks below a variety of entertainments that riff on the American experience, marine creatures, extraterrestrial life, and more. Music, sound, and light engulf you during the shows, which beautifully unite spectacle and technology. They take place on the hour and are absolutely free.
Masquerade Show in the Sky
(Sights & Activities - Free Attractions)
3700 W Flamingo RdLas Vegas NV 89103 702-252-7777
Description:
WEST OF THE STRIP. It's a carnival everyday in Rio Rio Suites Hotel, that is! Dancers in flamboyant costumes rise from the stage at casino level while floats ride through the sky above. Flashing lights sparkle, and musicians, singers and dancers alike party while riding overhead. Stand back, dance, and get swept up in the spirit of Rio. Ground participation in the show is free. Another great place is the balcony, also free, where you are at eye level with the action. Put your hands out to grab some beads you don't want to leave without a souvenir!
Sirens of TI
(Sights & Activities - Free Attractions)
3300 Las Vegas Blvd SLas Vegas NV 89109 702-894-7111
Description:
THE STRIP. Ahoy, matey! A band of 17th-century pirates is shipwrecked and washes ashore in Sirens Cove, where lovely ladies (the "Sirens") turn the cove upside down. You will not be disappointed as shipmates are thrown into situations involving daring swordplay and gigantic explosions. Tremendous special effects and exciting choreography make this one of the most well-attended free attractions in Vegas. Plan on arriving early because seating is limited, and you are not permitted to stand during performances. However, views are afforded from the sidewalk as well.
